benchOnce you take the code, it is yours to write, and your when and do blocks stop writing it. The blocks on the left become your code, drawn line by line: change a block or a line, and the other follows. Your when and do blocks wait behind back to blocks, just as you left them.
To run it, plug the board in, open the CIRCUITPY drive, and replace code.py with this one. The board restarts and runs it. Code that says from bench import needs the bench library in the drive's lib folder: get the bench library once per board.
Raw shows what a terminal reads to colour a line: \x1b[32m turns green on, \x1b[0m turns it off. A colour on a terminal is just more text.
Click a line number in the code to stop there (a breakpoint). The simulator runs what the blocks wrote; the board is the real test.
On means it is running on its device right now. Turn one off here, or press stop to halt every program on the device you ship to. programs has every program with each of its runs.
